Visitors to Mexico make the mistake of traipsing down the East coast, heavily influenced by its noisy Northern neighbour. However, the real gems lie to the west: Pacific beaches, Mesoamerican temples, the Copper Canyon and the natural wonders of La Huasteca. That’s not to mention the classy charm of Mexico City, the ferocious passion of the local people and the colonial cobbles left by Spanish invaders. The country, much like its world-famous cuisine, is extensive and deserves to be explored.
