New York is big, brash and, quite possibly, the best. A hotbed of creativity and culture, the definitive concrete jungle has an irresistible allure that draws in millions of visitors each year. There never seems to be a dull moment in the Big Apple, from Queens to Brooklyn, fancy bar to late-night pizza place, you’re sure to see some activity. And yet, there is something that prevents me from falling in love with this city. For all New York’s glamour, charm and lofty penthouses, it is not the most welcoming place. Perhaps, therein lies its appeal: you have to be a certain type of person to love New York.
