Hello, I’m Alex.

I am a British freelance journalist and producer, based in London. I have experience working in broadcast and print journalism.

My work with Sky Sports News has taken to the 2018 World Cup in Russia, the 2018 Ryder Cup in France and the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

I have a gold standard NCTJ diploma from News Associates in London, 110 words per minute shorthand and hold a BA degree in Russian and Portuguese from the University of Bristol.

The writing on my website is the result of several years of creative storytelling from living and travelling abroad. I am a strong advocate of language learning, particularly for native English speakers. I speak and work in Russian, Portuguese and Spanish.

My particular areas of interest are sport, Russia & the New East and Latin America.

My written work has appeared on Sky Sports, the Daily Mirror, MailOnline, Eurosport, Jericho and more.
